Privacy Policy

This is the personal portfolio of Manish Ghoshal, based in Melbourne, Australia. I try to collect as little as possible and be honest about the rest. This page is written in plain English (not legalese) and follows the spirit of the Australian Privacy Principles. It isn't legal advice.
What I collect
Analytics (only if you opt in). If you accept cookies in the banner, I load Google Analytics, which records things like which pages you view, your rough region, and your device/browser, and sets analytics cookies. It's off by default and you can decline. I don't run ads or cross-site tracking.
The contact form. If you message me through the "Contact Me" app, the name, email, and message you type are sent to my inbox via EmailJS so I can reply.
MGBot. Questions you type into the assistant are sent to this site's server to generate an answer and may be processed by a third-party language-model provider (Groq). The conversation isn't saved by this site.
Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) for security and reliability.
On your device. The "ManishOS" desktop saves preferences and window state in your browser's local storage. This never leaves your device.
Why I collect it
To run the site, reply when you reach out, answer your questions through MGBot, and, only if you allow it, understand roughly how many people visit. That's the whole list.
Who else sees it
The third parties above process data on my behalf: Google Analytics (only after consent), EmailJS (contact form), Groq (MGBot answers), and Vercel (hosting). I never sell your data.
Your choices & deleting your data
You can decline analytics in the cookie banner, or change your mind anytime by clearing your data below (the banner will ask again).
